I have a disability/live with illness that causes limited mobility. Do you mean yoga is for me, too? Yes!*** We have worked with people who use wheelchairs, those living with chronic pain and neuromuscular conditions including multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease, and are qualified to work with those who are bedridden from injury or illness.
What should I expect at your public yoga classes? Our yoga classes pull primarily from Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative styles. Expect cues that encourage playfulness, creativity, and for you to be fully yourself as you practice. Expect lots of pose modifications and ways to use props. Expect a carefully curated playlist. Expect to hear others using their voice asking questions or laughing or breathing with exuberance, and a welcoming for you to do the same.
I'm not comfortable in or don't want to purchase traditional yoga attire like leggings and sports bras. Do I have to wear that to class? Of course not. There is no dress code or uniform. The most important thing is that you're comfortable and you have space to move and breathe. Go ahead and rock your sweatpants, t-shirt, onesie, whatever!
I'm not flexible, or too large to do any kind of yoga. What happens then? There's no such thing as "too" anything. I guarantee. You have your own set of tools, and your body is a yoga body. We'll work together to find a practice that celebrates what you can do and how to gradually build the strength and mobility within that.

***If you have a physical disability, neuromuscular conditions, or chronic pain or illness, be sure to get clearance from your doctor to practice yoga before attending class. From there we'll work together to identify your specific needs and limitations to ensure you have a safe foundation to stay safe and happy in class.
