WEEKLY YOGA CLASSES

Alison's yoga classes warmly welcome people of all levels, abilities, body shape, and gender expression.

Yoga Foundations
Saturdays at 1:15 PM at Shaw Yoga

This class introduces basic postures and practices in a judgement-free space, focusing on building your strength and confidence and multiple pose variations to help create a yoga practice that works for you. Great for first-time yogis!

Gentle All Levels Flow 
Fridays at 12:30 PM at Shaw Yoga

Ease into the weekend with this gentle class that moves at a relaxing pace through seated and standing postures, deep restorative stretches, and breath exercises. This class encourages the use of props and pose variations.

Jewish Yoga & Meditation
Rotating Wednesday evenings at JMCW

Our gentle yoga flow class and guided meditations with foundations in Jewish teachings as part of The Jewish Mindfulness Center of Washington's programming welcome those of all faith backgrounds. Classes are drop-in and by donation.
Spring 2020 schedule: ​

  • Mar. 4 – Guided Meditation sit (7:30 PM)
  • Apr. 29 – 50-min Gentle Yoga (6:30 PM)
  • May 6 – Guided Meditation sit (7:30 PM)
  • May 27 – 50-min Gentle Yoga (6:30 PM)
  • Jun. 3 – Guided Meditation sit (7:30 PM)
  • Jun. 17 – Guided Meditation sit (7:30 PM)
The JMCW is located at Adas Israel Congregation synagogue. ​Enter at Adas' main entrance and check the signs for where to find our classes.

Branching Out: A Tu B'shvat Yoga Class 
Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020 7:00-8:30 PM at Sixth & I

Welcome Tu B'shvat (the Jewish New Year for trees) with an integrated meditation and gentle yoga flow with Alison Waldman. All levels of experience with yoga and Torah are welcome. Space is limited! Mats are provided.

Movement for MS is a free dance and creative movement class for people in all stages of MS and their loved ones. Classes return to Takoma Park, MD in Spring 2020. Stay tuned for registration or contact us to get more information.
